The Profile of Rev. (Dr.) Isaac O. Adigun

Born on 3rd October 1956, Rev. (Dr) Isaac Adigun had his early education between 1973 and 1976 at the Government Technical College, Ijebu-Ode, Nigeria, where he trained in Building Services. He obtained Intermediate and Advanced Certificates, Technicians’ Certificates Parts I and II, and the Full Technological Certificate (part), all from the City and Guilds of London Institute. In 1981, he proceeded to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Lagos, Nigeria, where he obtained a Certificate in Teachers’ Education. In 1984, he was admitted to the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, for a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Education and Training. In 1985, he obtained a Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in Industrial Education and Training from the same institution. In 1989, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Social and Applied Psychology, with a focus on Organisational Behaviour and Business Management, from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK.

For his technical, professional, and occupational training, Rev. (Dr) Adigun attended Balfour Kilpatrick (JKN) Nig. Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria, between 1978 and 1979 as a Trainee Estimator.

Rev. (Dr) Adigun’s professional experience spans several decades. From 1977 to 1978, he was a Senior Site Foreman at Balfour Kilpatrick (JKN) Nig. Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria. Between 1979 and 1980, he worked as a Mechanical Estimator at the same company, where his main duties included preparing bills of quantities, pricing, liaising between suppliers and the main office, project management, training, and liaising between the head office and consultants/clients. From 1987 to 1988, he worked part-time teaching and demonstrating practical courses for second-year undergraduate students taking Social Psychology at the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. Between 1988 and 1989, he was a part-time Research Assistant at the University of Kent, where his main duties included collecting data, leading experiment sessions, debriefing, administering questionnaires, interpreting results, and coding data into a computer.
