DIRECTORS OPENING SPEECH

I welcome prospective candidates to the JUPEB foundation school where students will be subjected to one year intensive coaching and examination. The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a national examinations body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013. It was formally established in April 2014 by a consortium of ten (10) partnering universities led by the University of Lagos.

The board has the responsibility of conducting common and standard examinations for the candidates, who have been exposed to a minimum of one-year approved courses and are seeking Direct Entry admissions into University courses at the 200 Level in Nigerian and partnering foreign universities.

The vision of the JUPEB programme is to be an outstanding examination body that will conduct common, standard and credible examinations based on a world-class curriculum, for candidates seeking Direct Entry admissions into Nigerian and foreign-based partner universities.

The school has a staff strength of 28 experienced academic staff and an administrative officer. The programme is divided into the following departments based on the students’ proposed course of study: ARTS (Mass communication, History and diplomatic studies etc), Science (Microbiology, Biochemistry etc), Engineering (Computer science, Physics with electronics etc) and Social science (Accounting, political science etc)

You are welcome on board.
