You are most heartily welcome to the webpage of the Registry, Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State. The Registry is the custodian of the rules and regulations governing the University. By extension, it is the repository for all the university records; documented and classified as appropriate, such that they are easily retrievable for effective governance. It also keeps the values of traditions of the University. It is not in doubt therefore, that a Registry with the required strength and quality will constitute the hub of administration in the University.

The Registry is constituted in line with the Laws of the University and it is strategically placed to partner with other arms of the University, to ensure the accomplishment of the visions and missions of the University, through provision of support services in all ramifications and staff deployment.

Personnel

The Personnel Division serves as the cornerstone of the Registry, primarily focusing on Human Resource management. Its responsibilities encompass various aspects, including recruitment and appointment of personnel, staff promotion, welfare management, capacity building initiatives, processing of leave requests, retirement procedures, disciplinary actions, and ensuring accurate establishment and job descriptions for staff members. This Division comprises the following units:

  • Academic Staff Unit
  • Administrative and Technical Staff Unit
  • Junior Staff Unit.

Admissions

The Admissions Office oversees the admission process in accordance with the standards and quotas set by the National Universities Commission. Its responsibilities encompass various tasks, including addressing inquiries related to admissions, conducting post-UTME screening exercises, selecting eligible candidates, and managing the screening and registration of admitted students.

Furthermore, the Office verifies students' results and confirms their enrollment. Recognizing the University of Lagos as a preferred choice among UTME applicants and the high caliber of students produced by the JAMB examination, the Management, through the Admissions Office, introduced post-UTME screening to ensure the intake of qualified candidates and maintain academic standards. This innovative approach has been adopted by other universities, demonstrating its effectiveness in enhancing the quality of incoming students.

    Senate & Ceremonies

    This department serves as the administrative hub for the University Senate, responsible for documenting meeting minutes and facilitating the swift implementation of Senate decisions and approvals. Additionally, it acts as the secretariat for the Ceremonies Committee, overseeing arrangements for significant events such as Convocation, Congregation, and Inaugural Lectures.

    Information Publicity and Public Relations

    This unit serves as the University's Public Relations Division, tasked with disseminating precise information about the institution to both the University community and the wider public. While under the office of the Vice-Chancellor, it is led by a senior administrative staff, with oversight provided by the registrar.
