Ambassador Olaleye James (Chairman of the BOT)

Ambassador (Rev) James Olaleye is a distinguished leader with a remarkable career spanning both diplomatic service, church leadership and academic governance. With a profound commitment to excellence and a wealth of experience in International Relations, Diplomacy, and Consular Affairs, Ambassador Olaleye brings a unique blend of diplomatic finesse and visionary leadership to his role as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Crawford University.

Having served diligently in the Nigerian Foreign Service as a career diplomat, Ambassador Olaleye garnered extensive experience in navigating the complexities of international affairs. His diplomatic assignments have taken him across the globe, including postings in Congo, Washington DC, London, Gabon, Guinea, and Tokyo. Throughout his illustrious career, Ambassador Olaleye demonstrated exceptional diplomatic acumen, fostering positive relations and advancing Nigeria's interests on the global stage.
Professor Modupe Asokhia (Pro-Chancellor)

Professor Asokhia is the Pro-Chancellor and chair of the Governing Council of Crawford University, Ogun State. As a Professor of Adult Education, she had a successful career as adult education teacher and retired as Director of the Institute of Education, Ambrose AIIi University, Ekpoma, Edo State. She had her first degree in Adult Education at the prestigious University of Lagos and her Masters and PhD from Ambrose AIIi University, Ekpoma. Her research interest spans all aspects of adult education and has published papers with reputable outlets and participated in local and international conferences in these areas.

Her background influenced her propensity towards women development. She belongs to the Fasuyi lineage and has her bedrock; the confidence infused in her by her mother; late Chief (Mrs.) Phebean Titilola Fasuyi who saw the need to send a girl-child to school. She was equally inspired by her husband; Prof Michael Babatunde Asokhia, to clinch the utmost height in her chosen discipline. As an adult Educator, she has a life-long core passion for women empowerment. Exuding an aura of confidence, Prof. Modupeola Asokhia radiates a rare combination of excellence, perfection, piety and godliness. She is happily married and with children.
Professor Isaac Rotimi Ajayi

Isaac Rotimi AJAYI is a professor of Radiation & Health Physics currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Wellspring University in Benin-City, Nigeria. He previously served as the Vice-Chancellor of Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State in 2015 to 2020. He holds a Ph.D from the University of Ibadan since 1994. Prof. Ajayi started his his academic career as Assistant Lecturer in 1990 and rose to become a full Professor at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba- Akoko in 2007. He was head of Physics dept. 2004-2008, Dean of Science 2008-2010, Deputy Vice-Chancellor 2010-2014 and Acting Vice-Chancellor in the University in 2014.

He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Physics and his current research is on Dosimetry in medical and environmental exposures to radiation. Prof. Ajayi has published more than 80 articles in reputable journals and has successfully supervised five Ph.Ds.

Professor Dixon Olutade Torimiro

Professor Dixon Olutade Torimiro, a Nigeria’s Federal Government Scholar, is currently Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology and Head of Department of Agricultural Education, Extension and Rural Development, Faculty of Agribusiness, Education and Extension, Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Gaborone, Botswana, Southern Africa. He is also a member of Board of Trustees, Crawford University, Igbesa, Nigeria (2021 to date) and Chair, Board of Trustees, International Research and Development Network of Children and Youth in Agriculture Programme (CYIAP-Network) based in Nigeria (www.cyiapnetwork.org). Professor Torimiro has over 30 years of experience in teaching, research, extension/outreach and community service as a visiting scholar, visiting fellow, visiting scientist, external examiner, professorial assessor, independent assessor or sabbatical in Nigeria, Botswana, South Africa, Ghana, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Senegal and USA.

Between 1995- 1999, he was on the academic staff team at the Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria. He also worked at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria from 1999 to 2022 as Lecturer and promoted through the ranks to Full Professor in 2009. He served (2006-2008) as Acting Head of Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development of the University. Between 2017-2019, he served as Pre-degree Programme Coordinator and Management member of the Centre for Distance Learning, Obafemi Awolowo University, Moro-Campus.

Professor Torimiro was a member, College of Research Associates, United Nations University’s Institute of Natural Resources in Africa (UNU/INRA), Accra; and Laureate of Child and Youth Studies Institute of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Dakar, Senegal. He was ECOWAS-AAU Academic Staff Exchange Fellow at the Northwest University, Mafikeng Campus, South Africa (2016), and an inaugural awardee of the International Extension Scholar - in - Residence at the Ohio State University, Columbus, USA (2019). He served as Independent Expert Evaluator to Association of African Universities (AAU), Accra, Ghana at different times in reviewing World Bank grants research proposals. He served on European Commission Panel for review of Horizon 2020 research proposals as an Independent Expert Evaluator and Rapporteur in Brussels, Belgium (2019). He was a member of the National Steering Committee to review Draft Botswana Rural Development Policy (2023-2024).

Professor Torimiro received a Bachelor of Agriculture in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology (Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria) and a MSc/PhD in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He has so many articles published in the field of agricultural extension and rural sociology. He has won a good number of grants including: CODESRIA (Senegal), AAU/DfID (Ghana), IDRC (Canada) and ESRC (UK); and he belongs to many local and international professional associations including: AIAEE (USA).

Professor Torimiro has visited a few countries for academic engagement, including Belgium, Benin Republic, Botswana, Canada, China, Germany, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Senegal, Uganda, USA, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Zambia. He is happily married and blessed with wonderful children.

Mr. Olajide Yesufu (Secretary)

Mr Olajide Yesufu is a Tax Professional and Consultant with over three decades expertise in tax planning and management, including tax strategy, risk compliance and assessment, tax evaluation, tax audit defense, tax accounting reporting, and tax due diligence. He has worked extensively in the telecommunication sector and has implemented organizational-wide tax strategies to reduce costs, improve internal control systems, and facilitate tax savings. He voluntarily exited MTN Nigeria Communications Plc as the Senior Manager and Head of the Tax department to join the ethical solution-oriented firm, AideOne Consulting, which he co-founded.

He has managed clients from both public and private sectors. He has also developed professional relationships with stakeholders and professionals in the tax and advisory sector. He possesses excellent leadership, process improvement, budget management, client management, internal control, and team-building skills. He is adept at championing processes that optimize ROI, enhance business processes, and implementing VAT principles, WHT, and Import Duty. He has a record of success in steering organizational productivity and efficiency through wholesome tax policies, procedures and internal controls.

He has acquired extensive knowledge in tax through education and his vast work experience. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy & Finance from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos and is an alumnus of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Academy. He is also a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria (FCTI). Additionally, He holds a Professional Certification in Transfer Pricing from the International Institute of Tax & Finance (IITF), South Africa.

He has also worked as the Senior Inspector of Taxes at the Tax Audit & Investigation department of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), where he also served as the Acting Deputy Commissioner of Stamp Duties during his stint with the FIRS, amongst other strategic roles before joining MTN. He is passionate about supporting small business and helping them develop viable business processes that maximize profits.

Mr. Yesufu’s dual responsibilities as Secretary and board member underscore his organizational prowess. His meticulous record-keeping keeps the board informed.
