Welcome to Crawford Library!
The library is an essential component of any university or other higher education establishment. High-quality teaching, learning, and research cannot be carried out without access to up-to-date and relevant information resources. By giving patrons the opportunity to interact with a range of information sources both within and outside of their academic fields, the Library promotes the unification of knowledge. The primary purpose of the Crawford University Library is to support all academic programs and to make it easier for scholars, members of the university community, and others in the surrounding area to conduct research. At Crawford University Library, we deploy information and communication technologies to ensure that management, staff and students maximise resources in the library. The information age which is synonymous with digital platforms and new media age has conspicuously revealed that information is an essential factor of production apart from land, labour, capital and entrepreneur. This fact serves as the premise for the library to ensure the adequacy of physical and electronic information resources for every college and department in the University.
Crawford University Library uses Readable Library Management Software to manage its routine operations. This Software is web-based and provides remote access to library holdings. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) can be viewed remotely using any smart device that is connected to the Internet. This makes access to the library holdings possible on a 24/7 basis from within and outside the campus.
The University Library is poised to be the one-stop solution arena for information needs relating to all areas of academic endeavours and make academic engagement a worthwhile endeavour for all members of the University community. We are optimistic that library users will make use of most of available library resources and enjoy the ambience of the environment with a rewarding experience.

To support and strengthen the university's mission by providing students with relevant knowledge that will hone their independent judgment and grant them the skills necessary to not only handle but also thrive in a fast-paced environment of constant change, and also equip them with the capability to adapt to changes and become agents of change.
AVAILABLE SERVICES
1. Library Services: we provide users access to a vast array of items, such as books, journals, research papers, and multimedia files. Our workforces are dedicated to helping users quickly and easily locate the information they require.
2. Digital Resources: we provide our users access to a multitude of open-access platforms, and subscriptions to online databases of e-books and e-journals. These resources are available 24/7, allowing students and faculty to explore academic content anytime, anywhere.
3. Research Assistance: To improve students' and researchers' research abilities, we provide workshops, training sessions, and individualised assistance.
4. Learning Spaces: To meet the needs of various learning styles and preferences, we provide a range of learning spaces, such as multimedia rooms, quiet study places, and collaborative workspaces.
5. Information literacy and digital literacy programmes: To give our users the essential skills for the digital age, with an emphasis on responsible information navigation, referencing, and source evaluation.
