VC Visits Abuja for VC’s Summit…visits IG of Police


Crawford University Vice ChancellorThe No. 4, Parakou Street, Wuse II District, Abuja Secretariat of the Association of the Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, AVCNU, was a beehive of activities on Thursday, the 2nd of February, 2017. This was consequent upon the coming of Vice Chancellors from the 152 Nigerian universities for a scheduled meeting of the Association. The Vice Chancellor, Crawford University, Professor Isaac Rotimi Ajayi, was among those present at the meeting which was chaired by Prof. Biyi Daramola, the Chairman of AVCNU and Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA. The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed later addressed the gathered Vice Chancellors on various issues

 

 Mr. Ibrahim Kpotum IdrisThe Vice Chancellor, Professor Rotimi Ajayi, also paid a working visit to the Office of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Kpotum Idris at Loius Edet House, Shehu Shagari Way, Central Area, Abuja, in the course of his week-long trip to the capital city last week. Chief on his agenda on the visit was the commissioning of the Police Station building built with the cooperation of the University and the Ketu Adie-Owe Community. Receiving the Vice Chancellor on the behalf of the Inspector-General of the Police, the Deputy Inspector-General, Operations, CP Joshak Habila assured the VC that actions would accelerate on the commissioning of the station as soon as they receive the report of a visitation team from the police that would be sent to assess the readiness of the station.
